In all honestly, it was only last week when I finally had experienced my first ever night life in Kuala Lumpur after being here for more than 5 months already!; part of it because I don’t have much friends to go party with.
Last Wednesday night, I went out with Eric and his girls at Starhill. We did choose to stay in just one place as we didn’t plan to stay late that time. The place was neither crowded nor loud so it was really a perfect place for us to talk and know everyone better. Before we parted ways, we planned to get together again on Saturday night. However, no one confirmed yet because we still don’t know if everyone is available that time.
Saturday morning, I received a text message from Eric inviting me if I could join him with his client and some girls later that night for a party. I went to the meeting place on time and saw him waiting at the entrance. Apparently, some of the girls were out of town and Jo has her flight outside Malaysia. While his client left the place a bit early because he still has flight the early next day. To make it short, we ended up just the two of us partying.
1st stop: The Beach Club - Entrance Fee: 35.00 RM (w/ free 1 drink); free entrance before 9PM. - The place is really jam-packed! More or less, the crowd consists of 70% men and 30% women from different ages coming from different races (Europeans, Americans, Asians, Middle Easterners, etc), and I was surprised that probably 80-90% of this “GIRLS” are Filipina! No wonder why there are a lot of foreigners on that place. *wink *wink, you know what I mean… - The music is pretty loud with a live banand from different genre but most of the time old dance music hehe. - We did not stay there for long. After 1 glass of vodka and 1 glass of gin tonic, we headed off to the next stop.
2nd stop: B Beautiful - Entrance Fee: 40.00 RM (w/ free 1 drink); no free entrance at any given time. - This is way beautiful than the first one. The crowd is way younger than the first one as well. Most especially, the girls are way BEAUTIFUL and CLASSY that the first one haha. I noticed that there are no Filipina in the crowd. - The music is techno and house. No live band and just a DJ.
3rd stop: Cynna Bar - Entrance Fee: 50.00 RM (with free 1 drink); no free entrance at any given time. - The best place of the night. The crowd is a mix-up of youngster and adult. As expected, no Filipina in the crowd hehe. - The music is almost just the same as the second one, techno and house. No live band, just a DJ’s too.
We didn’t stay for long at The Beach Club. After a few glasses of drinks, we headed off to the next stop - B Beautiful. But when we arrived there, only few people were wining inside so we decided to go to the 3rd stop – Cynna. According to my friend, 3 months ago when he went there before he flew back to UK, the interior was totally different. They renovated the place and made it more attractive to people.
My night life experience in KL was fun and delightful, though it would be more enjoyable if we’re on a group. Nevertheless, I had good fun with my new found friend and had a pleasure to have party with him.
By the way, after consuming 3 glasses of vodka, 3 glasses of gin tonic, 1 heinneken while dancing, though obviously I was a little tipsy, I still manage to walk straight the line! *whew*
